Jim Miller Submits Roosevelt Roberts In First Round At UFC On ESPN 11

Jim Miller showed off his crafty veteran ground game tonight at UFC On ESPN 11 with an early armbar finish of Roosevelt Roberts.

Round One:

Push kick attempt from Roberts, but Miller lands a kick at the same time and his opponent falls to the mat.

Miller settles on top here. Roberts tries to scramble out, but Miller keeps him down and continues to work from half-guard.

Not too much work from Miller here, but getting on top so early in the fight is a great start for him.

Suddenly Roberts looks to burst out of this position and successfully manages to get on top, but as he does so Miller is already locking in an armbar.

Roberts in defensive mode now as he tries to prevent this submission from being fully extended, but he’s unable to do so and Miller cranks on it and forces the tapout by armbar! Great win for the veteran at 2.25mins of the first round.
