Joe Lauzon TKO’s Jonathan Pearce In Comeback Fight At UFC On ESPN 6

18 months after his last fight, Joe Lauzon returned in style tonight at UFC On ESPN 6 with an impressive first round TKO victory against Jonathan Pearce.

Round One:

Leg kick for Pearce and Lauzon shoves him away. Jab for Lauzon. He comes in again but Pearce is sharp with his hands.

Exchange again. Lauzon hurts Pearce with a straight left and that wobbled his legs. Lauzon unleashes again and Pearce seems stunned at this early onslaught on the feet.

Now Lauzon is looking for the takedown and lands nicely on top from a trip. Pearce tries to roll and Lauzon takes his back and traps him with a reverse half nelson and is landing strikes too.

Pearce’s should is getting torqued hard here and that’s it, Pearce’s trapped arm means he can’t defend himself and Lauzon earns himself a stunning return to the win column via TKO at the 1.33 minute mark.
