Contender Series recruit Joe Pyfer took his time early in the first round of his debut against Alen Amedovski tonight at UFC Fight Night 210, but when he did start to unleash some power punches it didn’t take long for him to find a TKO finish.

Round One:

Front kick attempt from Amedovski upstairs. Pyfer has the center of the Octagon, but not letting his hands go just yet.

Jab for Pyfer comes off the guard. Pyfer feels out with the jab again. Right hand around the side of the guard from Pyer.

Pyfer with a brief combo. Amedovski looking to counter. Amedovski steps into a jab but comes up short. He lands a front kick to the body though.

One-two from Pyfer. Jab for him but then overhands and misses on a right hand. Leg kick for Amedovski, once to the outside and then to the inside of the lead leg.

Head kick attempt from Amedovski. Jab from Pyfer. Again he lands it. Pyfer lands, but Amedovski connects with a left hook counter. Pyfer undeterred as he lets his hands go again.

Pyfer threatens with an uppercut and then follows straight behind it with a straight right that drops Amedovski. Amedovski lies dazed on the mat and Pyfer lands one more punch to seal the first round KO finish at the 3.55min mark.
