John Lineker Vs Rob Font Co-Main Event Scrapped From UFC Fight Night 154

John Lineker has been forced out of his co-main event fight with Rob Font at UFC Fight Night 154 tomorrow night in South Carloina after suffering a cut above his left eye last night.

lineker had only recently publicly called out the UFC, claiming that they weren’t keeping him active enough to be able to provide for his family.

The UFC brass reacted quickly by offering Lineker the chance to step in as a late replacement to fight Font, who he previously defeated by unanimous decision three years ago.

Lineker jumped at the chance, but the eye injury has left him with no choice but to withdraw from the bout, and with there being so little time left until fight night there simply wasn’t time for the UFC to find a suitable replacement for him.

At this stage it’s unclear which fight the UFC will look to promote from the preliminary portion of the fight card to fill the gap left by this cancellation, though as things stand a bout between Bryan Barberena and Randy Brown now takes co-main event status tomorrow night.

The main event remains the same however, with Renato Moicano still set to fight The Korean Zombie in the evening’s headliner.
