Jon Jones Offers To Buy Leon Edwards A Motorcycle For Beating Colby Covington

UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones was so happy to see Colby Covington get beat in his welterweight title fight on Saturday night that he’s offered to buy defending champion Leon Edwards an expensive gift.

“Leon Edwards, I couldn’t be more happy for you,” Jones wrote on X. “As an American champion in this game, I salute you, that was truly a job well done. Let me know if I can gift you a motorcycle or something for Christmas. Feel like I owe you one.”

“Man, whatever he wants, it would be my pleasure,” Jones also wrote to a fan who suggested he buy him a Harley V-Rod.

Edwards has since responded, thanking him for his praise and making an alternative suggestion for his gift.

“Respect G.O.A.T it was easy work,” Edwards told Jones. “Means a lot coming from you. I don’t ride bikes but I will take a rollie tho .”

Jones is one of the many people that Covington has trash-talked about during his time in the UFC, but in this case the bad blood goes deeper than that as the two were actually roommates during their time at Iowa Central Community College.

Covington has previously claimed that Jones took steroids at college, had a bad temper and even threw someone threw a window during a fight.

Meanwhile, Jones has been less willing to spill the beans on Covington, but has stated in the past that he’s a habitual liar, and after watching his loss on Saturday night made it clear how low an opinion he has of him.

“Colby is by far the most heinous human being I’ve ever encountered in my life. I won’t even get into personal stories, he’s an absolutely terrible human being.”
