Kron Gracie Bizarrely Claims He Won Fight With Cub Swanson

Kron Gracie convincingly lost his co-main event fight with Cub Swanson at UFC Fight Night 161 on Saturday by unanimous decision, but the fighter himself is convinced that the judges made the wrong call.

“I won that fight,” Gracie wrote alongside a picture noting that the co-main event scrap earned ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors.

It would be incredibly difficult to make any sort of legitimate case for how that would be possible however, as though Gracie showed exceptional toughness throughout the fight and marched forward constantly, the fact was that Swanson was landing strikes at will and executing some brutal body work in particular.

There were a few times where Gracie was able to land punches of his own, but for the most part it was virtually all Swanson on the feet, while he also managed to shut down the grappling ace when he tried to bring him down or pull guard.

Perhaps when he watches the fight back at a later stage when the dust has settled Gracie will feel differently and it may prove to be a valuable learning experience for the future, but for now he’ll no doubt still be coming to terms with having suffered the first loss of his six fight MMA career.
