Krzysztof Jotko Beats Eryk Anders By Unanimous Decision At UFC On ESPN 8

Krzysztof Jotko stepped up his striking game for his fight with Eryk Anders tonight at UFC On ESPN 9 and emerged with a unanimous decision victory for his troubles.

Round One:

Jotko with a front kick to the body. Reaching right hand from Anders. High body kick from Jotko. Now an inside leg kick.

Glancing right hook from Anders. Right hook counter from Jotko. Inside leg kick for Jotko. He tries for a spinning elbow but it misses and then Anders clinches up and presses him against the cage.

Jotko tries a lead elbow that misses, but then lands a punch and an elbow behind it. Exchange of punches and Anders landed a glancing blow and then goes for the clinch. Anders pressing Jotko against the cage and looks for the takedown. He has to muscle it but does briefly get him down.

Back up they go with Anders swinging for the fences. They reset and Jotko lands a counter hook as Anders wades in again to the clinch.

Anders trying for a takedown then lands punches instead and then they go back to the center of the Octagon.

Nice one-two for Jotko. Now an inside leg kick. He goes to the outside as well. Jotko in on a takedown, transitions to his back and then moves over to the cage. Jotko tries for the takedown and Anders almost landing on top there.

They scramble and get back up with Jotko throwing a big kick. Against the cage they are both throwing hard and Jotko clinches to end the round.

Round Two:

Aggressive start from Anders, looking for a takedown and throwing a spinning backfist. Leg kick for Jotko.

Leg kick for Jotko. Anders shoving him over to the cage, applying a lot of pressure, but Jotko moves away. Jotko with a spinning elbow attack that partially lands.

Nice straight left from Jotko. Push kick from Jotko as Anders wings a punch back at him. Anders staying aggressive as he tries for a takedown, but Jotko keeps upright against the cage.

Jotko breaks away and lands a knee strike upstairs. Leg kick, a right hook and then a left hook too. right hand connects too here.

A few grazing punches from Jotko. Anders drives in for a double leg, but can’t get him down. Jotko throws another spinning elbow.

Leg kick for Jotko. Straight left for Jotko. Anders closing him into the cage, but Jotko uses head movement and throws counters. Anders presses him to the cage. Anders looks to hoist Jotko up for the takedown, but Jotko defends it well.

Final 30 seconds as Anders continues to try to work for a takedown. Nothing doing and he settles for just keeping Jotko up against the cage until the round ends.

Round Three:

Spinning elbow from Jotko lands, but Anders just bundles him over to the cage again. He’s trying hard for the takedown, but Jotko is doing well to defend it.

Jotko breaks free. Hard left hand for Jotko. jab for Anders. Good one-two for Jotko as Anders tries for a kick.

Uppercut from Jotko. Now a left hand and Anders misses a head kick. Jotko fakes a takedown and tries an uppercut. Anders wades forward and lands a couple of punches.

Nice straight left for Jotko. Overhand whistles over Anders head as his opponent goes back into the clinch. As hard as he tries Anders just can’t seem to get Jotko down, and again he gets away.

Punch lands for Jotko. Now a head kick attempt that’s blocked. Anders not giving up on the takedown as he drives back into the cage clinch.

30 seconds to go. “fight me, pussy!” Jotko taunts Anders. Jotko reverses the clinch, but then Anders gets back in the dominant position. Jotko lands a final nice punch before the round ends and they go to the judges for a decision verdict.


No real doubt about the winner here. Jotko showed good accuracy with his striking and defended Anders takedown attempts well and is rewarded with a unanimous decision victory (30-27, 29-28 x2).
