Matt Brown KO’s Dhiego Lima In 2nd Round At UFC On ESPN 25

Matt Brown’s lead calf was punished early in his fight with Dhiego Lima tonight at UFC On ESPN 25, but in the second round he got his revenge when he scored a one-punch highlight reel knockout.

Round One:

Body kick for Brown as Lima is moving side-to-side. Jab for Lima and a leg kick from Brown. Body kick for Lima now.

Another body kick for Brown now. Again he lands it as he steps into range. Leg kick for Lima. Brown going back for the kick but this time it’s blocked.

Lima punishes the calf with a solid kick. Thudding kick to the thigh from Brown.

Overhand right from Brown. Looking for a leg kick too. Big calf kick for Lima. He goes to the calf kick again and then another one, and that’s going to become a real problem very quickly as his limb already looks very red.

Lima knows it and feels out with his fists, but then chops to the calf kick yet again. Jab for Lima and a thigh kick from Brown in response.

Head kick attempt from Brown and then moves just out of range of another calf kick. Jab for Lima and then moves out of the way nicely as Brown marauds forward and just misses with a counter hook.

Round Two:

Brown looks like he’s ready to check leg kicks now, but Lima instead rips off a series of punches to the body.

Brown quickly into range with a knee to the body and then looks for the thai clinch, but Lima works him into the cage. Brown stops the takedown though and the fight stays upright.

Series of calf kicks from Lima. Brown with a chopping leg kick. They clinch up against the cage and jockey for position, then eventually return to the center of the Octagon.

Brown pushing forward now. Lima with a jab though. Brown closes the distance again, but Lima clinches and turns him into the cage.

They move back to striking range and Lima rips a punch to the body.

Out of nowhere Brown suddenly launches a hard right hand that knocks Lima out cold!! Amazing walk-off KO from Brown at 3.02mins of the second round.

Afterwards he goes over to the camera and bluntly states, “how’s that for 40, bitch!”
