Nate Diaz and Clay Guida reportedly got involved in a physical confrontation last night while attending a Combate Americas event in Los Angeles.
According to Guida’s teammate, Tyler Diamond, a member of the TUF 27 cast, Diaz initiated the altercation by shoving Guida and things escalated from there.
“Nate Diaz just pushed Clay Guida from behind! & I ended up in the middle & he slapped me while his little entourage surround me, Diamond wrote on Twitter.
“I was talking face to face with Clay, he got pushed & I saw Nate & about ten other dudes so I stepped up with my arms out trying to descalate the situation & Nate then slapped me while one of his groupies rabbit punched me.
“You slap like a bitch @NateDiaz209!”
This isn’t the first time that Diaz has been in a physical confrontation with him, as the two exchanged words backstage at UFC 199, leading to Guida’s older brother Jason charging at him and a brief scuffle broke out for about 30 seconds as others intervened to separate them.
Several years prior to that the two had fought at UFC 94 in 2009, with Guida emerging victorious on that occasion by a narrow split decision verdict.
Video of last night’s brawl exists, though unfortunately it’s hard to make out exactly what’s going on.
