Neil Magny vs. Geoff Neal Targeted For UFC Show On August 29th

Neil Magny’s next fight will be against Geoff Neal at an upcoming UFC event on August 29th, which is currently pencilled in to take place at the UFC’s own APEX facility in Las Vegas.

However, due to uncertainty over whether Las Vegas may have to shutdown for a second time due to coronavirus, it is possible that the event may take place on Fight Island.

Magny is coming off back-to-back victories, having earned a unanimous decision victory over Li Jingliang back in March before the shutdown, and has since returned to claim another win on the scorecards against Anthony Rocco Martin in early June.

That leaves Magny with four victories from his last five fights, with his only loss coming by KO against Santiago Ponzinibbio back in 2018.  Nevertheless, Magny currently only holds the No.14 spot on the UFC welterweight ladder.

Now he goes up against Neal, who is currently undefeated in his five UFC bouts so far.

Along the way he’s defeated a number of welterweight notables, including the likes of Belal Muhammad, Niko Price and most recently TKO’d Mike Perry in just 90 seconds back in December, leaving him ranked No.10 in the division.

Magny vs. Neal joins an August 29th card that also features fights such as Anthony Smith vs. Alexander Rakic and Ryan Hall vs. Ricardo Lamas.
