Nikita Krylov vs. Ryan Spann To Headline UFC Fight Night 220

A light-heavyweight fight between Nikita Krylov and Ryan Spann has been announced as the headliner for UFC Fight Night 220 on February 25th at a destination still to be confirmed.

The 30-year-old Krylov has fought three times in a row this year, going 2-1 during that time.

His year started with a triangle choke submission loss to Paul Craig in March, marking his second loss in a row at the time.

However, things have gone better for ‘The Miner’ since, claiming a 67 second KO finish against former title contender Alexander Gustafsson in July, while last month he secured a unanimous decision win against Volkan Oezdemir, leaving him ranked No.7 in the division heading into this fight.

Meanwhile, the 31-year-old Spann is also 2-1 in his last three fights.

‘Superman’ Spann was submitted by Anthony Smith in September of last year, but then locked in a first round submission of his own against Ion Cutelaba back in May and followed that up with an 80 second KO victory over Dominick Reyes earlier this month to take the No.10 spot in the rankings.

Krylov vs. Spann will front a UFC Fight Night 220 event that is still in it’s formative stages, with this being the only confirmed main card fight so far.
