Former interim light-heavyweight title contender Ovince St. Preux will be back in action against Marcos Rogerio ‘Pezao’ de Lima at UFC Fight Night 108 in Nashville on April 22nd.
OSP has been struggling to find form of late, having lost four of his last five fights in the Octagon over an eighteen month period.
His solitary win during that time was a decision victory over Rafael ‘Feijao’ Cavalcante a year ago, but in-between that he’s been submitted by Glover Teixeira, decisioned by Jon Jones and KO’d by Jimi Manuwa.
Perhaps most disappointing of all was his last fight earlier this month, which saw him paired up with a short notice opponent in the debuting Volkan Oezdemir, yet OSP still came out on the wrong side of a split decision.
On the other hand, ‘Pezao’ comes into this fight off a first round TKO victory against Jeremy Kimball. He’s been alternating between wins and losses for the past four fights, however, so he’ll be eager to break that trend by defeating OSP, who will be his biggest name opponent in the promotion to date.
OSP Vs ‘Pezao’ joins a card headlined by Cub Swanson Vs Artem Lobov, with Al Iaquinta Vs Diego Sanchez serving as the co-main event.
