Paddy Pimblett To Fight Jared Gordon At UFC 282

Paddy Pimblett will round out the year by fighting Jared Gordon at UFC 282 on December 10th in Las Vegas.

British star Pimblett heads into the fight with three victories in a row to his name since joining the promotion back in September of last year.

The former Cage Warriors featherweight champion claimed a KO victory in his UFC debut against Luigi Vendramini last year and has since secured back-to-back submission victories against Rodrigo Vargas and Jordan Leavitt in 2022 so far.

Along the way the Liverpudlian has also scooped up three ‘Performance Of The Night’ awards and won new fans with his larger-than-life personality, which led to Dana White declaring after his latest win that their plan was to bring him to America to feature on a pay-per-view card.

Now the 27-year-old goes up against Gordon, who has won four of his last fights in the Octagon. Along the way he’s defeated the likes of Chris Fishgold, Danny Chavez, Joe Selecki and most recently Leonardo Santos, while his sole loss during that run was against Grant Dawson back in April.

Pimblett vs. Gordon joins a UFC 282 card that is expected to be headlined by a light-heavyweight title rematch between Jiri Prochazka and Glover Teixera, while former 205lb champ Jan Blachowicz goes up against Magomed Ankalaev along with Robbie Lawler vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio, Alexander Gustafsson vs. OSP and Darren Till vs. Driscus du Plessis.

One fighter who won’t be on the card however is Bo Nickal, the stand-out Contender Series recruit who had been booked to make his debut against Jamie Pickett, but has now had to withdraw due to an injury.
