Paige VanZant Out; Randa Markos Fights Amanda Ribas Instead At UFC On ESPN 28

Paige VanZant is back out of action again after withdrawing from the upcoming UFC Fight 170 event in Brasilia on March 14th for unspecified reasons.

PVZ has only fought twice in the past three years due to recurring injuries, with a broken arm that’s required several surgeries being her biggest issues, although there’s no indication at this stage if that has anything to do with her latest call-off.

With VanZant out, Randa Markos has now stepped in to fight Amanda Ribas at the event instead.

Markos is coming off a win over Ashley Yoder back in Otober by split decision and luckily still has enough time to get in a full training camp for this upcoming bout.

As for Ribas, she has won her first two fights in the UFC since joining in 2018 and will be high on confidence coming in off an upset win over Mackenzie Dern in October of last year.

Markos vs. Ribas joins a UFC Fight Night 170 card that’s set to be headlined by Kevin Lee vs. Charles Oliveira, while Demian Maia also fights Gilbert Burns on the main card.
