‘The Happy Warrior’ Roxanne Modafferi’s next fight will be against Viviane Arujuo at UFC Fight Night 188 at a yet-to-be-confirmed location on January 30th.
The 38-year-old Modafferi is coming off a big win over Andrea ‘KGB’ Lee by unanimous decision back in September, which has helped lift her to No.7 on the flyweight rankings heading into this fight.
Modafferi has essentially been alternating between wins and losses for her whole 4-4 run in the UFC so far, but has picked up some victories over notable names along the way, including the likes of Barb Honchak, Antonina Shevchenko and Maycee Barber, while her losses have come against Nicco Montano, Sijara Eubanks, Jennifer Maia and Lauren Murphy.
Now the 42-fight veteran goes up against Aruajo, who has compiled a 3-1 run in the UFC to date, including wins over Talita Bernardo, Alexis Davis and Montana De La Rosa, while her only loss in the promotion came against Jessica Eye. As such Aruajo sits just one place behind Modafferi at No.8 on the flyweight ladder.
Modafferi vs. Aruajo is currently the only fight attached to the event.
