A welterweight fight between Sean Brady and Kelvin Gastelum will take place at UFC Fight Night 233 on December 2nd at a location still to be determined.
The fight sees Gastelum make a return to the 170lb weight class more than seven years after his last appearance there, having previously been banished from the division after a series of botched weight-cuts.
In the years since Gastelum has gone 5-6 (+1nc) in the 185lb ranks and at one stage fought for the interim title, but now after a unanimous decision win over Chris Curtis back in April he announced his plan to return to 170lbs, where he previously held a 6-2 record.
Gastelum will be going up against the 9th ranked Brady, who is coming off the first loss of his 16-fight career against Belal Muhammad via TKO in October of last year. Before that Brady had been gone on a five fight winning run since joining the UFC, beating the likes of Michael Chiesa, Jake Matthews and Court McGee along the way.
Brady vs. Gastelum joins a UFC Fight Night 233 show that will also feature fights like Deiveson Figueiredo vs Rob Font, Miesha Tate vs. Julia Avila and Khalil Rountree Jr vs. Azamat Murzakanov.
