Sergei Pavlovich TKO’s Derrick Lewis In 55 Seconds At UFC 277

Sergei Pavlovich picked up a swift TKO victory over Derrick Lewis tonight at UFC 277, though some felt the 55 second TKO stoppage was premature.

Round One:

Leg kick for Lewis. Pavlovich with feints here. Missed punch from Pavlovich and Lewis looks to fire back. Pavlovich catches him with a right hook. Now a couple of uppercuts land and Lewis backs up. Pavlovich follows him throwing more punches. Some are missing, but a hook and an uppercut connect and Lewis faceplants onto the canvas for a moment.

He immediately gets back to his feet, but it’s too late, the ref had already stepped in to end the fight, leading to a TKO stoppage at just 55 seconds of the opening round.

The Texas crowd aren’t happy with that one, but though the end may have been premature there’s no doubt that Pavlovich had Lewis hurt.
