Sergio Pettis Vs Brandon Moreno To Headline UFC Fight Night 114

A fight between rising flyweight stars Sergio Pettis and Brandon Moreno has been announced as the headiner for the UFC Fight Night 114 event in Mexico City, Mexico on August 5th.

Sergio, the younger brother of former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis, is still only 23-years-old, yet he’s already amassed a 6-2 record in the UFC’s Octagon.

That includes his current three-fight winning streak against the likes of Chris Cariaso, Chris Kelades and John Maraga, which leaves him ranked No.6 in the 125lb division heading into this fight.

Moreno, who is also 23-years-old, emerged in the UFC via TUF 24 despite losing in the opening stage of the show.

Since then he’s been unstoppable, racking up a three-fight winning streak in the UFC with big wins over Louis Smolka, Ryan Benoit and Dustin Ortiz, which takes his career record to 14-3 and has him sitting just one place behind Pettis in the flyweight rankings at No.7.

Pettis Vs Moreno is so far the only fight attached to the UFC Fight Night 114 event, which will be the sixth UFC show in the space of a month from July 7th to August 5th.
