Just days since her last Octagon outing, Sijara Eubanks is set to get right back into action as a late replacement against Ketlen Vieira at UFC 253 next weekend.
Eubanks earned a unanimous decision victory over Julia Avila at UFC Fight Night 177 on Saturday night, and has now accepted the call to replace the injured Marion Reneau on less than two weeks notice.
Eubanks will be looking for her third win in a row, having also defeated Sarah Moras back in May.
This is a step up in competition though as not so long ago Vieira was heading towards title contention as an undefeated fighter with a perfect 10-0 record, including wins over the likes of Sarah McMann and Cat Zingano during her four-fight stint in the UFC so far.
However, Vieira did suffer a first round KO loss last time out in December against Irene Aldana, so this is an important fight for the No.7 ranked contender as she looks to get back to winning ways.
Eubanks vs. Vieira joins a UFC 253 card that will be headlined by a middleweight title fight between Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa, while Dominick Reyes and Jan Blachowicz will also be competing for the vacant light-heavyweight belt in the co-main event.
