Tatiana Suarez Targeted To Return Against Roxanne Modafferi At UFC 266

After a long layoff, Tatiana Suarez’s comeback fight has finally been targeted against Roxanne Modafferi at UFC 266 on September 25th.

A former winner of The Ultimate Fighter show, Suarez is currently unbeaten in her eight-fight MMA career, including having won all five of her fights in the Octagon so far.

She’s already beaten a number of notable names too, with the likes of Alexa Grasso, Carla Esparza and Nina Ansaroff all having come off second best against the 30-year-old wrestler.

As such Suarez was tipped to be a future title challenger, but a persistent neck injury has forced her out of action for the past two years and she’s only now recovered enough to get back to doing what she does best.

Meanwhile, Modafferi is coming off a decision loss against Viviane Araujo back in January, which continued a familiar pattern of win-one, lose-one for the 38-year-old during her UFC run to date.

That being said, the veteran has picked up some big wins along the way, besting the likes of Andrea Lee, Maycee Barber, Antonina Shevchenko and Barb Honchak.

If the fight is made official then Suarez vs. Modafferi would join a UFC 266 card that is set to be headlined by featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski in his latest title defense against Brian Ortega.
