Terrance McKinney made short work of Erick Gonzalez tonight at UFC On ESPN 40, tapping him out with a first round rear-naked choke.
Round One:
McKinney with a head kick, but Gonzalez has his high guard up. McKinney on the attack again. Gonzalez slips and McKinney can’t capitalize before he gets back up.
Hard punch from McKinney. He lands an uppercut. Knees to the body from the clinch now, but Gonzalez catches a leg and tries for a takedown.
McKinney stays upright and gets free. There’s a brief exchange and McKinney gets clipped by a nice punch from Gonzalez.
McKinney able to land a takedown now. Gonzalez gets to his knees and McKinney is looking to take his back and hops up onto it as his opponent stands.
McKinney looking for the standing rear-naked choke and after some adjustments he gets it under the chin and Gonzalez taps out soon afterwards for a submission finish at 2.17mins of the first round.
