The Korean Zombie To Undergo Surgery For Double Vision Problems

The Korean Zombie Chan Sung Jung has revealed that he’s going to have surgery to deal with an eye issues that’s causing him ongoing problems with double vision.

“Recently, it has been more important for me to figure out my double vision issue,” Jung told MMA Junkie. “It took a long time to get medical exams done and there was a difference with diagnoses between doctors in Korea and Phoenix.”

“Finally, I decided to get the surgery done in Phoenix soon. I am sure I will be able to get back to the cage around July or August because the surgeon says it is not a big surgery.”

It’s unfortunate timing for TKZ as he had been edging into title contention after back-to-back TKO victories over Renato Moicano and Frankie Edgar.

However, with the recent word from Dana White being that they are likely to put current champion Alexander Volkanovski into an immediate rematch with Max Holloway, that does give Jung time to recover and then potentially have a chance of facing the winner later on in the year.
