‘The Korean Zombie’ Chan Sung Jung will headline UFC Fight Night 190 opposite Dan Ige on June 19th at a destination still to be confirmed.
The 34-year-old Zombie will be looking to bounce back from a convincing decision loss against Brian Ortega back in October of last year that dented his own title hopes at 145lbs.
Prior to the defeat, Jung had produced two impressive first round TKO finishes in a row against Renato Moicano and Frankie Edgar, picking up performance bonuses on each occasion to continue his status as one of the most exciting fighters on the roster.
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old Ige is coming off a 22 second knockout win over Gavin Tucker last month at UFC Fight Night 187.
Ige had previously been defeated by Calvin Kattar on the scorecards back in July of last year, which had ended an impressive six-fight winning streak in the Octagon that had culminated in split decision wins over Mirsad Bektic and Edson Barboza.
All that leaves The Korean Zombie ranked No.5 in the division, with Ige three places behind at No.8 for this UFC Fight Night 190 headliner, while the card is also feature welterweight action as grizzled veteran Matt ‘The Immortal’ Brown fights Dhiego Lima.
