Tom Aspinall Leg Injury Hands Curtis Blaydes 15 Second TKO Win At UFC Fight Night 208

UFC Fight Night 208’s main event ended in an unfortunately swift and disappointing fashion tonight with Aspinall appearing to injure his knee while throwing a leg kick, leading to a 15 second TKO win for Curtis Blaydes.

Round One:

The heavyweight main event is underway in London.

Aspinall steps into a big knee to the body. Blaydes lands a couple of right hands.

Aspinall with a big leg kick to the thigh, but immediately afterwards he steps backwards and then immediately falls to the mat while clutching his leg.

That’s it, the fight is over, Aspinall seems to have injured his knee while landing that kick and is clearly in a lot of pain, leaving him unable to continue.

What an unfortunate situation, but nonetheless Blaydes comes away with a 15-second TKO victory.

It’s quite some time before the decision is announced though as Aspinall is still being attended to in the middle of the Octagon, but eventually he’s put in a leg brace and will now be heading to hospital to discover the extent of the damage.
