It appears that former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley is going to fight Vicente Luque next at UFC 260 on March 27th at a destination that’s still to be determined at this time.
Woodley has had a rough couple of years in the sport, having first lost his title after being dominated for five rounds by Kamaru Usman in 2019, followed by similarly coming off second-best against Gilbert Burns last year.
Woodley then went up against Colby Covington last September and was TKO’d in the final round, leaving him with three losses in a row heading into this fight.
As for Luque, he’s in fine form at the moment, coming of back-to-back wins against Niko Price and Randy Brown last year, while he’s actually won 8 of his last 9 fights, with his only loss during that run coming against Stephen Thompson back in 2019.
Luque is currently ranked No.10 in the 170lb division, while despite his recent losses Woodley is still placed at No.6.
Woodley vs. Luque joins a UFC 260 card that’s set to be headlined by a heavyweight title rematch between Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou, while there will be further title action in the shape of featherweight champ Alexander Volkanovski locking horns with Brian Ortega.
