It was a very rough night in the Octagon for Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 on Saturday night, but despite his KO loss he can at least console himself with the fact that he was still the evening’s top earner with a $1,000,000 payday.
The man who defeated him by KO to win back the light-heavyweight title, Jon Jones, had to settle for a $500,000 salary on this occasion, as did welterweight kingpin Tyron Woodley.
Former 170lb titleholder Robbie Lawler was next up with a $300,000 salary, while newly crowned women’s featherweight champion Cris ‘Cyborg’ took home $200,000 and Jimi Manuwa came away with $120,000.
Despite losing out on the scorecards in his fight with Lawler, Donald Cerrone still trousered $155,000, while Demian Maia and Volkan Oezdemir bolstered their bank accounts by $110,000.
Rounding off the six-figure earners were Ricardo Lamas with $106,000 and former Invicta FC 135lb champ Tonya Evinger who banked $100,000.
