UFC 250 Bonus Awards

Following last night’s UFC 250 event in Las Vegas the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.

On this occasion the UFC opted to dish out four ‘Performance Of The Night’ awards and as you might expect that included one for co-main event star Cody Garbrandt after he delivered a stunning buzzer-beating right hook KO of Raphael Assuncao at the 4.59mins mark of the first round.

Aljamain Sterling also rightly earned a performance bonus after he made a fast start against Cory Sandhagen, managing to get to his back early in the fight, bring him to the mat and then sink in a fight-ending rear-naked choke with just 88 seconds on the clock.

Sean O’Malley was another of the evening’s standout performers, landing a perfectly placed bomb of a right hand that left Eddie Wineland spread out on the canvas unconscious in the opening round, before causually walking off, Mark Hunt style.

Rounding up the bonus winners was Alex Perez, whose powerful leg kicks soon began paying dividends against Jussier Formiga and resulted in a first round TKO finish.
