UFC 253 Will Be First Of Five Events On Fight Island In September And October

The UFC is heading back to Fight Island, Abu Dhabi for five more events, starting with UFC 253 on September 26th.

UFC 253 is of course a must-see show that will be headlined by a middleweight title fight between current champion Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa and will also find the vacant light-heavyweight belt up for grabs in the co-main event as Dominick Reyes takes on Jan Blachowicz.

That will be followed by a nicely stacked UFC Fight Night 179 card, which features the likes of Holly Holm vs. Irene Aldana, Thiago Santos vs. Glover Teixeira, Beneil Dariush vs. Charles Oliveira and Carlos Condit vs. Court McGee.

UFC Fight Night 180 the following weekend is rumored to be headlined by Marlon Moraes vs. Cory Sandhagen and also features Edson Barboza vs. Sodiq Yussuff and Ben Rothwell vs. Marcin Tybura.

There’s a big featherweight clash in the main event of UFC Fight Night 181 on October 17th as Brian Ortega returns to fight The Korean Zombie, with Jessica Andrade vs. Katlyn Chookagian also appearing on that line-up.

And then rounding off the latest Fight Island series will be another massive pay-per-view, UFC 254 on October 25th, which will find lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomdov seeking to defend his title against Justin Gaethje, with a good selection of fights beneath it including the likes of Zabit Magomedsharipov vs. Yair Rodriguez, Robert Whittaker vs. Jared Cannonier, Alexander Volkov vs. Walt Harris and Rafael dos Anjos vs. Islam Makhachev.
