UFC 263 Bonus Awards

Following last night’s UFC 263 event in Arizona the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.

earning ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors was the preliminary card scrap between Brad Riddell and Drew Dober, which saw both men engage in a competitive back-and-forth battle in which they both had their moments in the frequent striking exchanges, although ultimately it was Riddell who did enough to earn a unanimous decision victory.

One of two ‘Performance of The Night’ awards went to Brandon Moreno, who pushed a high pace that Deiveson Figueiredo struggled to match, while also showcasing his skills both on the feet and on the mat as he hurt the champion with strikes and eventually went on to bring him down submit him on the mat with a rear-naked choke in the third round.

Earlier, Paul Craig once again showcased his remarkable ability to find submissions as he appeared to break Jamahal Hill’s arm after pulling guard and rolling into an armbar attempt.

Astonishingly, Hill didn’t tap out even though he became trapped in a triangle choke with that arm flopping around as he tried to land ground-and-pound with the other, which led to Craig landing elbows from his back until the ref stepped in to end the fight by TKO.

It later emerged that despite everyone watching being convinced Hill’s arm was broken, it had in fact just been dislocated and so he’s since had it put back in place and thankfully he has recovered his full range of motion.
