UFC 298 Fight Card

UFC 298 takes place this coming Saturday night, February 17th in Anaheim, California and we’ve got our predictions for all the fights below.

In the main event of the evening featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski looks to rebound from his first ever KO loss last time out during an unsuccessful attempt to win the lightweight title. Back at 145lbs he’ll be going up against a major new threat in the weight class, the undefeated Ilia Topuria, who has won all six of his fights in the Octagon so far.

In the co-main event there’s middleweight action as former champion Robert Whittaker tries to get back to winning ways after a TKO loss to Dricus du Plessis last July. To do so he’ll have to beat Paulo Costa, who hasn’t fought in over a year-and-a-half since a scrappy win over Luke Rockhold in the summer of 2022.

The 13-0 undefeated Ian Garry looks to extend his UFC winning streak to seven fights on Saturday night when he locks horns with Geoff Neal, who had headed into 2023 off of back-to-back victories, but suffered a submission loss to Shavkat Rakhmonov in his only fight last year.

In a bantamweight title eliminator, former champion Henry Cejudo has claimed he’ll likely head back into retirement if he can’t get past Merab Davlaishvili, who has been banging on the door for a shot at the belt for quit some time after amassing a nine-fight unbeaten run in the division.

Opening up the main card will be a middleweight fight between Anthony Hernandez and Roman Kopylov, who are both coming in off four-fight winning streaks.
