Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 107 event in London the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
Four ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonuses were dished out on this occasion, with one being handed to main event star Jimi Manuwa for his impressive walk-off KO against Corey Anderson.
It all looked so easy for the heavy-handed striker as he uncorked a left hook mid-way through the opening round of the fight that felled Anderson like a tree, then casually walked away like it was no big deal.
Also taking home a performance bonus on the night was co-main event winner Gunnar Nelson, who rocked Alan Jouban with a single punch to the head early in the second round and then dragged him to the mat for a guillotine choke finish.
Marlon Vera stepped in on short-notice to fight Brad Pickett in his retirement fight and that proved to be very much worth his while as he floored him with a left head kick in the third round, then sealed the TKO victory with follow-up strikes to earn a bonus award.
The final performance bonus was won by Marc Diakiese who KO’d Teemu Packalen in truly stunning fashion just 30 seconds into their preliminary card fight.
Diakiese put on a show in the opening exchanges of the fight, landing with eye-catching spinning kicks, but then it was just a single blistering right hand down the pipe that stopped Packalen dead in his tracks and sent him falling the mat as stiff as a board.
