UFC Fight Night 127 Bonus Awards

Following yesterday’s UFC Fight Night 127 event in London, England the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.

Earning ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors was the co-main event rematch between Jan Blachowicz and Jimi Manuwa.

In their first fight it was Manuwa who emerged victorious on the scorecards and he came out confidently in the opening round of their second encounter, but soon found himself dropped by Blachowicz and then struggled to seize back the momentum as the Polish fighter continued to display improved striking to emerge with a unanimous decision victory.

Alexander Volkov earned a ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus for his impressive showing in the main event in which he managed to survive being taken down by Fabricio Werdum a few times in the opening rounds and then increasingly began to make his impression felt on the feet, leading to a flurry of strikes in the fourth round that would deliver the KO finish.

Also earning a ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus was Paul Craig, who came off second-best for almost the entirety of his fight with Magomed Ankalaev, but then managed to sink in a triangle choke in the dying embers of the final round and remarkably produced the tapout with just one second remaining.
