UFC Fight Night 132 Predictions

UFC Fight Night 132 takes place in the wee hours of tomorrow morning in Singapore and we’ve got our predictions for all the fights below.

Main Card (Fight Pass):

Donald Cerrone vs. Leon Edwards

Cerrone has shown signs of perhaps no longer being at the top of his game anymore, so this will be a tricky outing against Edwards, who has been steadily compiling a five fight winning streak in the division.

Despite having a respectable striking game, Edwards has focused on utilizing his wrestling in the UFC to date with some success, but Cerrone is actually a good grappler in his own right and particularly adept at finding finishes on the mat.

However, ‘Cowboy’ will likely be looking to impress his advantage on the feet first and foremost though and I think his more versatile, seasoned muay thai kicks, punches and knees will enable him to outstrike Edwards and keep him largely at bay, leading to a decision victory.

Donald Cerrone to win by decision.

Ovince Saint Preux vs. Tyson Pedro

Pedro has marked himself out as a fighter to watch in the 205lb division of late, and this is his biggest test to date against a top 10 opponent in OSP who has never appeared to reach his full potential so far in the UFC.

OSP is athletically gifted and is capable in a number of different areas, but there’s a lack of cohesion and technical finesse to his work at times, while his cardio can also be suspect.

On the other hand, Pedro has yet to prove himself against high-level opposition, but so far has looked to have a lot to offer, both as a striker and particularly excelling on the mat, and I think he’ll offer the more consistent output over the course of three rounds here to edge out OSP on the scorecards.

Tyson Pedro to win by decision.

Jessica Eye vs. Jessica Rose-Clark

This should be a closely fought encounter between two flyweights who can both strike and work for takedowns when required.

Of the two I feel Eye edges the stand-up thanks to her technical boxing, working well off the jab, and she has the greater experience and faced a higher-level of opposition to date, which will stand her in good stead as she mixes the occasional takedown in with her striking to eek out a decision win.

Jessica Eye to win by decision.

Li Jingliang vs. Daichi Abe

Jingliang is an aggressive, all-offense fighter who will come out guns blazing for Abe and not let up, but he’ll have to watch out for his opponent’s counter-striking and willigness to let his hands go.

However, Abe’s workrate is likely to falter as the fight goes on, while ‘The Leech’ will keep on his offensive onslaught, leading to a second round TKO stoppage.

Li Jingliang to win by TKO in Rd2.
