Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 133 event in Idaho the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
Earning ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors was a prelim battle between Raoni Barcelos and Kurt Holobaugh, which ran for the best part of three competitive rounds, before Barcelos connected with a big uppercut that put his opponent away by way of knockout.
Chad Mendes marked his return to action after over 30 months on the sidelines with a huge knockout victory over Myles Jury, connecting with a thunderous punch in the opening round that rocked his opponent, before following up with strikes on the canvas to seal the deal and earn himself a ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus into the bargain.
Also taking hom a Performance Of The Night award was Niko Price, who racked up a wholly unexpected knockout victory from his back when he managed to trap Randy Brown in the midst of a submission attempt and then land a series of hammerfists, while keeping his head in place with one of his feet wrapped around his neck, to render him unconscious!
