UFC Fight Night 192 Bonus Awards

Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 192 event the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.

There wasn’t a ‘Fight of The Night’ award on this occasion, with the UFC brass opting for four ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonuses instead.

A fired-up Anthony Smith had Ryan Spann in all sorts of trouble in the opening round of their main event clash as he rocked him multiple times with hard punches in the early exchanges, before putting him out of his misery courtesy of a rear-naked choke.

Arman Tsarukyan earned his bonus after proving that his striking can be just as dangerous as his wrestling by flooring Christos Giagos with a left hook and then landing follow-up blows to seal a quick TKO victory and extend his unbeaten run in the promotion to four fights.

Nate Maness’ bonus was hard-earned as Tony Gravely dropped him late in the first round and was on the verge of a stoppage before the bell spared him, only to then get revenge in the final round when he landed a right hook to buckle his opponent and set up a TKO stoppage win.

Joaquin Buckley is known for his viral highlight-reel KO’s, and after falling victim to one himself last time out, he bounced back nicely with a third round TKO victory, initially seeming to clip his opponent to the back of the head, with another punch as he reeled backwards sending him to the canvas, where the fight was quickly brought to an end.
