UFC Fight Night 213 Fight Card

UFC Fight Night 213 takes place this coming Saturday night, 29th October in Las Vegas and you can see the full fight card below.

In the main event of the evening there’s featherweight action as the No.5 ranked Calvin Kattar looks to bounce back from a split decision loss to Josh Emmett last time out when he goes up against the in-form Arnold Allen, who has won all nine of his UFC fights to date to take the No.6 spot on the 145lb ladder.

In the co-main event, veteran campaigner Tim Means hopes to shake off a submission loss to Kevin Holland back in June when he takes on Max Griffin, who like his opponent was on a three-fight winning streak prior to suffering a defeat last time out against Neil Magny.

with five losses from six UFC fights to date, it’s somewhat surprising to see heavyweight fighter Jared Vanderaa still in the UFC, let alone on the main card, where he’ll be fighting new Contender Series recruit Waldo Cortes-Acosta, who has a 7-0 record while competing for the likes of LFA and Bellator.

You have to wonder if the currently billed main card will be reshuffled ahead of the event since a fight between Josh Fremd, who is 0-1 in the UFC so far, and Tresean Gore, who has back-to-back losses, seems an unlikely choice given the other options that are available in the prelims.

The current main card opener is more worthy of it’s spot though, with Dustin Jacoby’s second stint in the UFC having gone well, going unbeaten in seven Octagon encounters so far, while Khalil Rountree is coming off back-to-back TKO victories.
