UFC Fight Night 216 Bonus Awards

Following the UFC’s final event of the year last night the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.

Earning ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors was the main card scrap between Drew Dober and Bobby Green.

In the first round Green did an excellent job of countering Dober’s constant pressure with clean punches, leaving his opponent bloodied. However, it takes a lot to deter the granite-chinned Dober and he continued to press forward in the second round and all it took was one clean left hand connecting as Green was bobbing and weaving against the cage to deliver a big KO finish.

Michal Oleksiejczuk earned one of two ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonuses after he was taken down early in the first round by Cody Brundage, but didn’t take any damage and then eventually managed to get on top himself and immediately made an impact with big ground-and-pound to claim a TKO finish.

Also earning a performance bonus was Alex Caceres who slickly followed up a missed left hook with a delayed left head kick that caught Julian Erosa off-guard and led to a first round TKO finish.
