Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 217 event in Las Vegas the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
On this occasion the UFC opted to dish out four ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonuses, and amongst them was co-main event winner Dan Ige, who dominated the striking exchanges against Damon Jackson before KO’ing him with a left hook late in the second round.
Also earning a performance bonus was Umar Nurmagomedov, who impressed by KO’ing Raoni Barcelos with a sneaky left hook late in the first round to extend his unbeaten career record to 16-0.
Roman Kopylov was another bonus winner after he proved to be the more technical striker than Punahale Soriano early and then punished him with big kicks to the body in the second round that paved the way for a flurry of strikes to seal a TKO stoppage win.
Meanwhile, in the prelims Allan Nascimento also secured a bonus after he sunk in a rear-naked choke submission mid-way through the first round of his fight against Carlos Hernandez.
