UFC Fight Night 218 In Las Vegas Set To Have A Very Unusual Start Time

The UFC Fight Night 218 event headlined by Derrick Lewis vs. Sergey Spivak on February 4th in Las Vegas is set to have a highly unusual start time, with the main card now scheduled to get underway live at 1am ET in the United States, 5am CET in Europe and 6am in the UK.

The reason for this is that the event was originally scheduled to take place in Seoul, South Korea, but after a high-profile star from the region, ‘The Korean Zombie’ pulled out due to an injury the UFC decided to abandon that plan and instead are hosting it at their Las Vegas HQ instead.

However, as a compromise the UFC brass have decided to still air the event live at a time that will suit the UFC’s Asian fan-base, particularly as the show still contains a number of other fighters from the originally planned destination, including ‘The Korean Superboy’ Doo Ho Choi, who fights Kyle Nelson and Jun Yong Park who faces Dennis Tiuliulin.

The show will also contain the four finals of the ‘Road To UFC’ show, which had seen some of Asia’s top talents compete in a tournament to win a spot on the UFC roster.
