Following last night’s UFC On ABC 4 event the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
Four ‘Performance Of The Night’ awards were handed out on this occasion and main event winner Jailton Almeida claimed one of them after he quickly took down Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the main event and then methodically advanced position until he had his back and was able to sink in a fight-ending rear-naked choke.
The undefeated Ian Garry extended his record to 12-0 with his 5th win in the Octagon after catching Daniel Rodriguez clean with a head kick that sent him to the canvas, with ground-and-pound sealing his TKO victory mid-way through the opening round.
Carlos Ulberg also secured a post-fight bonus after he perfectly timed a check left hook against the onrushing Ihor Potieria to drop him and earn a first-round TKO stoppage.
Continuing the run of first-round finishes was UFC veteran Matt Brown who connected with a thumping straight right against Court McGee that sunk him to the canvas for a knockout finish in the final fight on the preliminary portion of last night’s card.
