UFC star Vitor Belfort has announced that his next fight will be against Uriah Hall at an as yet unnamed event on January 18th of next year.
“I just signed my bout agreement for January 14th at UFC,” Belfort wrote on Instagram. “I always looked for big challenges and in my last UFC fight it couldn’t be different…@uriahhall. it’s a honor to share the cage with a such young and talented fighter. Thanks for accepting the fight!
The 40-year-old Belfort had contemplated retiring this year after going three fights without a victory against Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza, Gegard Mousasi and Kelvin Gastelum.
However, he changed his mind after emerging with a unanimous decision victory against Nate Marquardt at UFC 212 in June that leaves him placed just outside the top 10 in the divisional rankings.
As for Hall, he also had to suffer through a trio of losses in the Octagon against Robert Whittaker, Derek Brunson and Robert Whittaker over the past couple of years, before finally emerging with a big TKO win over Krzysztof Jotko at UFC Fight Night 116 last month that keeps him in the 185lb ranking at No.l0, one place about Belfort.
