Watch Anderson Silva Back Hitting Mitts After leg Break

Hard as it is to believe, less than two months since his horrifying leg break at UFC 168, Anderson Silva is already back in training hitting the mitts.

Admittedly, at this stage he’s still taking it very easy and seems tentative when walking, but just the fact that he’s able to do it at all seems remarkable.

It’s also living proof of the dedication it takes to be one of, if not the, greatest mixed martial artists of all-time. Silva has earned a fortune from fighting and the sponsorships and endorsements he enjoys as one of Brazil’s leading sporting stars, and after an injury like this he could easily have just hung up his gloves for good.

But instead, despite admitting last month that he was still suffering a great deal of pain and couldn’t sleep at night, his desire to get back to fighting again has never diminished.

Hopefully he’s not pushing himself too far too soon and he’ll make a full recovery.

Check out his latest training footage below.
