It’s clear in The Mac Life’s new interview with Dana White that the UFC President is buzzing about Conor McGregor’s upcoming fight with Floyd Mayweather this coming Saturday night in Las Vegas.
Having had a ringside view of McGregor’s recent 12-round sparring session with Paulie Malignaggi at the UFC Performance Institute, White seems to be increasingly confident in the UFC lightweight champion’s chances against the legendary undefeated boxer.
“When he makes this upset, it’ll be the biggest upset in the history of sports,” White boldly predicted. “He’ll be the biggest athlete on the planet and, you know, it’s going to be awesome. It’s fun. This Conor McGregor ride is a fun ride to be on.”
Speaking of that Malignaggi fight, White is adamant that McGregor won all 12 rounds, though he did reveal new information about it, indicating that ‘The Notorious’ was actually deducted two points by referee Joe Cortez.
White also revealed that the Mayweather Vs McGregor event is already breaking record and is trending towards being the biggest pay-per-view in combat sports history.
