After waiting for what feels like an eternity for their fight to be officially signed, Michael Chandler is getting more proactive in his attempts to get Conor McGregor back into the Octagon by calling him out live on the WWE Raw show.
“Hey, what’s up Anaheim!” Chandler said from ring-side on the show. “You are now in the presence of the most entertaining UFC fighter on the planet.
“Hey, now there’s a man from Ireland that’s been making me wait for way too long, and I’ve still got one dude on my mind! Conor McGregor, get your candy ass back to the octagon! We’ve got some unfinished business, boys! God bless. I’ll see you at the top!”

Chandler’s appearance on a WWE show is perhaps a glimpse at the potential marketing opportunities that the pro-wrestling outfit and the UFC are exploring now that the two companies are under the same umbrella as TKO Group Holdings.
Whether it makes any difference in terms of actually getting McGregor back into the Octagon is questionable though since the former two-division champion often talks about being ready to make his comeback from the broken leg he suffered back in 2021, yet when push comes to shove he has so far not backed up his words with action.
As such, despite the two having featured as opposing coaches on TUF last year, talk of a fight between them taking place in 2023 didn’t come to fruition. On New Years Even McGregor claimed that his fight with Chandler was booked for June, but that turned out to not be the case, while a spot on UFC 300 in April has also been ruled out, with the latest word from Dana White being a vague hope that he’ll return in ‘the fall’.
