In the video below you can watch Rashad Evans recall his hilarious, and presumably at the time terrifying, first encounter with UFC President Dana White during a selection interview for The Ultimate Fighter Season 2 in 2005.
According to Evans, White was at his F-bombing best as he put the young college graduate on blast for trying out for a heavyweight edition of TUF when he was clearly undersized compared to the competition he’d be facing.
“You f**king Cuba Gooding Jr looking motherf**ker, you can get your ass kicked on the show,” Evans recalls him saying at one point.
As it happens, things turned out far better than White was predicting, with Evans going on to win the show before dropping to light-heavyweight and eventually emerging as the champion.
