Watch Renan Barao Talk To Joe Rogan About Pulling Out Of UFC 177

During last night’s UFC 177 broadcast color commentator Joe Rogan headed backstage to interview former bantamweight champion Renan Barao about the circumstances surrounding him pulling out of the main event with TJ Dillashaw on the day of the weigh-ins.

Rogan grilled Barao hard about the situation, but Barao was adamant that his weight cut was going fine until the moment he suddenly blacked out in the bath tub and hit his head which resulted in him being taken to the hospital and pulling out of the fight.

He believes it was standing up too fast that caused him to lose consciousness in the first place.

Meanwhile, Dana White said after the event that Barao won’t get his salary for the fight and will also have to compete again at least one more time before he’ll earn the right to another shot at the title.
