While former TUF winner Ross Pearson generally tends to favor his boxing when it comes to the striking game, the latest footage from his training camp suggests that he’s not to shabby in the kicking department either.
In the clip below, taken from Pearson’s Instagram account, the lightweight contender is sparring with a significantly bigger training partner when he suddenly digs to the body and then follows it with a kick upside his head that sends him to the mat like a sack of spuds. Ouch!
Pearson is currently in training for his co-main event clash with Diego Sanchez at UFC Fight Night 42 in New Mexico next month.
‘The Real Deal’ is coming off a no-contest decision against Melvin Guillard back in October of last year after being caught with an illegal knee. Guillard was giving him a torrid time prior to that, so he’ll be hoping to give a better account of himself in his upcoming fight and return to the form that saw him win two fights prior to that.
