Khabib Nurmagomedov Calls Out Floyd Mayweather Jr; Boxer Responds

After successfully defeating his biggest rival Conor McGregor, UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has now set his sights on another superstar – boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr.

“Hey, let’s go, Floyd,” Nurmagomedov said in a video posted on instagram in which he’s seen standing next to Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe. “We have to fight now. 50-0 vs. 27-0. Two guys never lose. Let’s go. Why not? Because in the jungle, only one king. Only one king. Of course, I am the king because he cannot drop McGregor but I drop him easily. Let’s go!”

Ellerbe was all-smiles while standing next the man calling out his fighter, and afterwards told him, “You gonna get some of that work, baby!”

Mayweather himself has since seen Nurmagomedov’s call-out and it sounds like he might just be interested in taking him up on that offer.

“CBS, Showtime and MGM Grand get the checkbook out!” Mayweather wrote on Twitter. “Go to @leonardellerbe ‘s page to view Khabib Nurmagomedov challenging me.#CBS#SHOWTIME #MGMGRAND#MayweatherPromotions.”
