Dana White has revealed that Michelle Waterson will fight Karolina Kowalkiewicz at UFC On ESPN 2 in Philadelphia on March 30th.
Waterson, aka ‘The Karate Hottie’ is currently riding a two-fight winning streak that saw her earn a split decision victory over Casey Courtney in April of last year and then follow that up with unanimous decision victory over Felice Herrig.
In total Waterson holds a 4-2 record in the UFC and currently resides in the No.8 spot on the official flyweight rankings.
Meanwhile, Kowalkiewicz will be attempting to successfully come back from the first knockout loss of her career, with Jessica Andrade taking her out in under two minutes at UFC 228 in September.
It was a tough loss for the Polish fighter, who had been on a two-fight winning run prior to that, picking up decision victories over Jodie Esquibel and Felice Herrig.
In total Kowalkiewicz now holds a 12-3 record and is currently ranked No.6 in the division.
Waterson Vs Kowalkiewicz is currently one of only two bouts announced for the UFC On ESPN 2 event, with Dana White also having confirmed yesterday on ESPN that Alexa Grasso will fight Mariana Rodriguez in the same weight class.
However, at this stage the main event for the card hasn’t been unveiled.
