Dana White UFC 208 Post-Fight Interviews

UFC President Dana White couldn’t hide his disappointment with how UFC 208 played out last night in Brooklyn, New York and you can see what he had to say about the evening’s big talking points in the post-fight interviews below.

– A good indication of what White thought of UFC 208 was that he said the highlight of the night was going to be getting on the plane back home!

– He mentioned that Dustin Poirier Vs Jim Miller was one of the few bright spots on the card, commending both fighters on their toughness – particularly Poirier, who won despite fighting in the third round with what White is hearing may be a broken leg.

– ‘Jacare’ Souza also got the thumbs up for his quick kimura submission win over Tim Boetsch and said he likes that he’s still eager to fight despite already being in title contention, which means another match-up could be coming his way soon.

– As for Anderson Silva’s somewhat controversial decision win over Derek Brunson, White says he had scored it even going into the final round, but believed Brunson did enough in the third to win.

Nonetheless, despite Brunson complaining to him afterwards he says it’s out of his hands and as always recommends that fighters finish their opponents rather than leave it in the hands of the judges.

– The main event was even more controversial given that the referee didn’t deduct a point from Germaine De Randamie despite the fact she threw punches after the bell in both the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

White doesn’t think the inexperienced referee from New York should have been officiating in the main event in the first place and notes that if a point had been deducted the fight would have been declared a draw.
